The “New Look” FYI is here
Greetings from Network FYI,
We’re delighted to tell you that the all-new Network FYI sites are finally here. We’ve had a makeover, added lots of great new features to our Directory as well as adding several new locations throughout the North West of England. There’s too many features to tell you about in one post so we’ll probably pick a feature to focus on each week where we’ll go in to some detail about how we aim to help the businesses that choose to list with us.
For those readers who aren’t familiar with our websites, our mission is twofold:
Firstly, we provide a simple and attractive alternative for local communities to search for local businesses. Using Global Search Engines and National Directories to search for a local business seems like madness to us and our research clearly shows that the results can be hit and miss.
Secondly we “genuinely” want to help local businesses get more customers and we’ve developed several methods to help them do this. We’ve done lots of research into how people actually search for and select a business and one of the key results shows that business-searchers tend to only try two or three businesses before selecting one. We decided that, by only listing 3 businesses in each industry, we’re helping to promote the businesses that choose to list with us whilst still providing the consumer with choice.

For any readers who consider themselves to be “business-searchers” we’d love to hear your thoughts on our sites; what we’ve done right AND what you think we could have got better and any suggestions of new features are always especially welcome.
